NAYB participated in the Youth America Grand Prix competition from 2005-2010, earning honors that included two regional first place winners and the Outstanding Teacher Award. Certainly there is great value in Advanced dancers learning and being coached in classical ballet variations - however ultimately competitions do not fit into our organizational philosophy. The Advanced Variations Showcase provides our students with an opportunity to present solo work on the performance stage outside of the competition environment.
