NUTCRACKER AUDITION PREP

• Project Ballet only holds auditions for lead roles.

• Only dancers in Level 4 and up are eligible for lead roles. 

• All other roles in the production are assigned based on how you have been doing in class, and do not require a specific audition.

• There are plenty of other roles for you that do not require an audition.

1. Columbine Doll​​

   • Gender: Female

   • Eligible Levels: Advanced Group B, Level 5, Returning Level 4

   • Audition Info: Audition is en pointe. Select dancers will be asked to perform the following combination moving forward from the back of the room: "Bourree, step to fourth, triple pirouette en dehors to the knee".

1. Clara​​

   • Height Restriction: 5'3" or shorter

   • Eligible Levels: Advanced Groups A & B, Level 5

   • Audition Info: Audition is en pointe. Audition Waiver Required. Dancers will need to wear their hair half down/half up for the audition. We realize your hair will not be nicely styled after a full day of dancing. We just need to see the length, and to see how you dance with your hair down.
