Project Ballet - 2020 Summer Intensives

Summer is the perfect time to further your training, sharpen your skills, and grow as an artist. IN-PERSON INTENSIVES

Junior intensive participants can select only one intensive per week, either morning or afternoon. Students will be separated into two levels each week, based on previous experience, ability and age. Each level will stay in the same studio all day, with the same group of dancers, which will help to limit germ exposure for both staff and students. Studios are sanitized after each class, and professionally cleaned each evening. Hand sanitizer is readily available in each studio. Class sizes are strictly limited to allow ample room for teachers and students to stay at least six feet apart at all times. Each week will include fifteen hours of study, including ballet technique, stretch, and repertory classes. Dancers who have previous experience en pointe will also have pointe lessons incorporated into their schedule. Please note that due to the pandemic, we will not be holding a performance at the end of the week. The summer intensive will be entirely training-focused with no performance component.

VIRTUAL INTENSIVES

The virtual junior intensive meets via Zoom. Each day of the intensive week, Monday-Friday, there will be a 45 minute ballet technique class, 15 minute break, 15 minute stretch class, and a second 45 minute technique class.  Zoom log-in information will private and will be be emailed home prior to your summer intensive week. Students will need a strong internet connection, a reliable device with the zoom software or app, a clear space at least 6ft. x 6ft. in which to comfortably dance, and a chair or other sturdy piece of furniture to serve as a ballet barre. For the virtual intensive, all summer intensive dancers will be together in one class and will not be separated by level or ability.
