2022 Intermediate Intensive

Summer is the perfect time to further your training, sharpen your skills, and grow as an artist. The Project Ballet intermediate intensive is a serious and focused training experience for young ballet aspirants with significant previous experience.

Enrollment and Level Placement:

The Intermediate Intensive is for dancers ages 8 and up who have been placed in Project Ballet Levels 2 or 3 for the 2023-2023 school year AND have already completed at least one semester in Level 2. (Newly promoted Level 2 students must enroll in the junior intensive level.) Students enroll by-the-week and may enroll in as few as one, or as many as all six weeks.

Guest or new dancers should contact the Artistic Director (mcleish@projectballet.org) to arrange for a virtual or in-person level placement evaluation.

Schedule:

Each day students will have 2.25 hours of classes in ballet technique, contemporary, repertory, history, stretch and conditioning. Classes will be taught by Project Ballet faculty and alumni. Students will have a 15 min. snack/water break each day.

Tuition:

Tuition is $150 per week for students who were enrolled at Project Ballet for the 2021-22 school year. Tuition is $175 per week for new or guest dancers. A minimum $50 deposit is due a registration. A payment plan option will be available at check-out. Tuition is non-refundable except in the case of documented illness or injury documented by a doctor's note. A doctor's note must be produced by 4:00pm on the Friday prior to the Monday of the intensive week starting, if a refund is to be given. Please note, if the intensive is canceled by Project Ballet, then a full tuition refund would be provided to all registrants.

Parent Observation:

All classes on Fridays will be open for in-person parent observation. Due to studio space limitations, we can only permit one observer, per dancer, per class. However, dancers will have 2-3 classes scheduled each Friday, and dancers may invite an observer into each class, as desired.

Minimum Attendance Requirements:

Students placed in PB Levels 2 or 3 for the 2022-2023 school year are required to attend at least two sessions of the Intermediate Intensive at PB. Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement for their level will be required to commit to a supplemental private lesson schedule in the Fall of 2022 that is equivalent to the training they missed in the summer.
