June 19-22 from 5:30-6:30pm

July 10-13 from 5:30-6:30pm

July 17-20 from 4:30-5:30pm

Careful and detailed instruction teaches students the fundamentals of beginning ballet technique and gives them the tools they need to succeed in higher levels of dance training. The Preparatory Ballet classroom is extremely focused and children will be taught proper ballet etiquette and terminology.

Open to male and female children ages 5-11 years old. Children must be willing to participate independently without a parent. The class is appropriate for beginners as well as children with previous experience in our preschool classes or preparatory classes.

Four day class session, meeting for 1 hour each day. Students will learn classical ballet skills every day, plus a basic introduction to ballet repertory/choreography and ballet history.

Parents should bring their child into the Project Ballet lobby and wait for class to begin. Please plan to arrive about five minutes early to change into ballet shoes and use the restroom, etc. A minute or two before class is scheduled to start, our staff will take attendance and have the children line-up in the lobby to head into the classroom. Once the children have left with their teacher to begin class, parents are free to leave or you may wait in our lobby. Please make sure to return promptly at the end of the hour class. Your child's teacher will bring them back out to the lobby when camp is over.

The last 20 minutes of class on Thursday will be open for parent observation. We will show you our new ballet skills and a short dance that we prepared for the performance!

Female dancers are required to wear ballet slippers, tights and a leotard. Any colors are fine for camp. Leotards may be any style and color, however leotards should NOT have attached skirts, shorts, or tutus. Just a plain bathing-suit style leotard, please. Simple rhinestones or bows, etc. are permitted, and any style sleeves are permitted. Long hair should be pulled back off the face in a ballet bun, pony tail, or similar style. Ballet slippers can be purchased at Standing Ovation Performance Apparel, at stores such as WalMart or Target, or online.

Male dancers are required to wear a plain solid color short-sleeve t-shirt, basketball or gym shorts, socks, and ballet slippers. Any colors are fine for camp. Please select a t-shirt size that is not too baggy or oversized, so that the teacher can easily see your child's movements. Long hair should be secured back off the face. Ballet slippers can be purchased at Standing Ovation Performance Apparel, at stores such as WalMart or Target, or online.

Each session is $50 for a 4-day session. Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferrable. In the case of illness or injury, there will not be a virtual option and your child will not receive a make-up lesson.
